The Burlington County Farmers Market is set to resume this Saturday, March 8, after its winter break. This marks the first of four special preseason market days planned for March and April at the Burlington County Agricultural Center in Moorestown. The market will be open from 10 AM to 1 PM, offering early season produce, foods, and crafts.

A variety of vendors are expected to participate, including Cherry Grove Farm, Davidson Mushrooms, Hoja Farm, Little Hooves Romneys, Mill Creek Apiary, Pinelands Produce, Recklesstown Distillery, Windy Farm Alpacas, Scallop Shack, Armageddon Brewing, Cheese Etc., Flourish Bakery, Humble Spud, The Soup Bar, Mom Mom’s Polish Foods, Louis Organics, Tis So Sweet, Wild Flour Bakery and Zaddy’s Roast Sandwiches.

Visitors can enjoy live music and learn about the Agricultural Center—a county-preserved farm now serving as a community park and education center focused on farming and land stewardship.

Entering its 19th season this year, the farmers market has grown significantly in popularity. It was named New Jersey's favorite farmers market last year by an online poll conducted by the American Farmland Trust.

“The Burlington County Farmers Market was voted best in New Jersey in 2024 and we are excited about its long-awaited return for the first time this year,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “The special March and April farm markets may be early in the season but they still feature many of the same outstanding farmers.”

Burlington County State Senator Troy Singleton expressed his enthusiasm: “I look forward to the Burlington County Farmers Market each season. You can find all your delicious foods...grown and made locally in Burlington County.”

Other preseason dates include March 22, April 12 and April 26. The regular weekly markets begin May 10 with an Opening Day Celebration running from 8:30 AM to 1 PM every Saturday through November 22.

Throughout both seasons shoppers can expect a mix of local farms and craft vendors alongside live music. Free cooking demonstrations will take place on opening day and each market day during regular season hours.

Special theme days are also scheduled: Peach Party on August 2; Tomato/Pepper Palooza on August 30; Apple Day on October 18.

“Farming has always been a central part of Burlington County’s history...our farmers market’s growth is one of our biggest success stories,” stated Burlington County Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel.
