Residents and visitors have a final opportunity to shop at New Jersey’s popular farmers market before the holidays. The Burlington County Farmers Market will host its special Holiday Market on Saturday, December 7, from 10 AM to 2 PM at the Burlington County Agricultural Center. This event marks the season's grand finale and features over 80 farms, food vendors, and artisan crafters.
The market provides an ideal setting to prepare for the holidays with a variety of products including fresh meats, seafood, eggs, local honey, baked goods, cheeses, holiday greens, gifts, and more. Attendees can also enjoy live music, kids’ activities, a cooking demonstration, a petting zoo from the 4-H Carrot Club, and alpacas from Windy Farm in Chesterfield.
“The Burlington County Farmers Market always has a wide variety of tasty foods and handcrafted goods," said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. "The Holiday Market features extra artists and vendors. In fact, it’s traditionally the biggest market of the year. Whether you’re a newcomer to the market or a Saturday regular, this last market is a must for anyone shopping this holiday season.”
Now concluding its 18th season, the Burlington County Farmers Market operates rain or shine each Saturday during spring, summer and fall seasons. This year saw the introduction of several preseason market days in March and April.
The market is recognized for aiding numerous local farms and small businesses in selling their products. It was voted as New Jersey's No. 1 farmers market and ranked third best in the Northeast during this year's America’s Farmers Market Celebration by American Farmland Trust.
“2024 will be remembered as one of the best seasons ever," stated Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel. "Not only did the market receive national acclaim; it also helped dozens of local farms and businesses make record sales. There’s still one more market left so we encourage shoppers to take advantage of this final opportunity to buy for the holidays and stock up on all your favorite produce baked goods and foods.”
