We just wrapped up the 4th session of our Senior Citizen Police Academy!! Captain Kevin Briggs from Burlington County Central Communications gave an overview of the 911 Emergency Call Center, and how calls are handled from beginning to end. He also talked about the important role that dispatchers play, not only in ensuring proper notifications are made, but to also making sure they know the location of the emergency personnel and check on their status until the call has been cleared. Thomas Kinder, Master Clinician of Social Work, also stopped by and spoke to the seniors about Mental Health, tips for improving Mental Health, and the important role that Mental Health plays in a person’s overall well-being.
