U.S. News & World Report has released its annual list of "Best Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) 2025," highlighting six Virtua Health-affiliated ASCs as high-performing facilities. These ASCs specialize in providing same-day surgical and diagnostic procedures, balancing efficiency and patient care with cost reduction.

To compile the list, U.S. News & World Report evaluated nearly 5,000 ASCs, focusing on four specialty areas: Colonoscopy and Endoscopy, Orthopedics and Spine, Ophthalmology, and Urology. This evaluation used Medicare data spanning three years to assess the centers' ability to prevent complications, ER visits, unplanned hospitalizations, and other negative outcomes.

According to Barry Graf, senior vice president of partnerships and business development at Virtua Health, "ASCs play an integral role in our health care system. Receiving high-performing ratings on the U.S. News & World Report list is well-deserved recognition of our extremely talented ASC health care teams who are committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for all of our patients."

The six recognized Virtua-affiliated ASCs join a larger network of 42 ASCs associated with Virtua Health. Additionally, last fall, 18 of Virtua's joint-venture ASCs were included in Newsweek's list of top ASCs for 2025.
