Burlington County officials have announced the opening of nominations for the 2025 Outstanding Women of Burlington County Awards. Commissioner Director Dr. Felicia Hopson and Commissioner Deputy Director Allison Eckel, in cooperation with the Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council, will recognize the achievements and leadership of women across the county. This year, awards will be given in eight categories, including business, community service, diversity/inclusion, education, healthcare, leadership, law, and public safety/military.

Nominations are open until the end of business on June 2. The Women's Advisory Council and the Burlington County Board of Commissioners sponsor the awards. Hopson expressed enthusiasm for continuing the tradition, stating, “Burlington County has an incredibly rich history of women leaders, trailblazers and achievers, and we are excited to continue the tradition of recognizing some of our present day women leaders for their accomplishments and service.”

The council is seeking nominations for women who have made significant contributions in their fields and have shown support for other women, possibly as mentors, role models, or advocates. Eckel added, “Women in our county continue to excel in every field and we are proud to celebrate them and their achievements. Now more than ever, we need to celebrate women and their accomplishments. By recognizing them, we hope to inspire more women to take on leadership roles or become more deeply engaged in our communities.”

Nomination forms are available online, and inquiries can be sent via email. The recipients will be celebrated at the annual awards banquet in September. Inquiries about sponsorships for the banquet should be directed to the Women's Advisory Council via email.

The Burlington County Women’s Advisory Council is dedicated to addressing issues affecting women in the county, raising awareness, and enhancing the quality of life for all women. More information is available on their Facebook page or through their official website.
