He stated: "Senator Kim's statement on President Trump's abuse of power and the detainment of Mahmoud Khalil", indicating his critical stance on the issue.

Later that day, Rep. Andy Kim expressed his disapproval of certain legislative measures he views as excessive concentration of power among influential figures like Elon Musk and former President Trump. His tweet stated: "Republicans have made it so Musk and the most powerful win and everyone else loses." He concluded by declaring his opposition to the continuing resolution (CR), stating, "I'm a NO on the CR."
