Later that day, he reiterated his criticism in Spanish, posting "La Administración Trump está haciendo el juego al régimen de Maduro al tiempo que amenaza a quienes simplemente buscan salvar a sus familias." Again, he stressed that this decision was wrong and called for its reversal.

In another tweet posted on February 4, 2025, Rep. Kim discussed the importance of USAID as a tool in foreign policy rather than mere charity. He argued that "USAID isn't charity. It's a foreign policy tool with bipartisan origins that is critical in this dangerous global environment." He warned against cutting its funding as it would weaken America's ability to compete globally and ensure national safety.
