On February 2, 2025, Rep. Kim emphasized the importance of transparency in government decisions by sharing a link where Senator Kim explains his vote to confirm Kristi Noem as DHS Secretary. "Rebuilding trust in government means transparency in all decisions."
The following day, February 3, 2025, he discussed the role of foreign aid in preventing pandemics from reaching the United States. He stressed that USAID is actively working to prevent outbreaks and warned against shutting down such operations by stating: "Foreign aid isn’t just your money we send to other countries."
Later on the same day, Rep. Kim addressed misconceptions about USAID's mission by asserting its critical role in protecting American national security and countering misinformation spread by "bad actors."
