The Burlington County Clerk’s Office is relocating its satellite office to a larger facility on Briggs Road in Mount Laurel. The new location, set to open on January 13, will replace the previous office at Moorestown Mall.
The County Corner will offer services such as U.S. Passport applications and photographs, notary commissions, and business trade name registrations. In the past year, over 14,000 passport-related services and more than 700 notary commissions were processed at the previous location.
Burlington County Clerk Joanne Schwartz expressed enthusiasm about the move: “The Burlington County Clerk’s Office has always prioritized customer service, and we are excited to open this new location in Mount Laurel.” She added that the new space would provide extended hours and improved facilities for residents.
Operating hours for the new site will be Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 7 PM and Saturdays from 10 AM to 5 PM. The main office in Mount Holly continues its schedule from Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM.
In addition to clerk services, two multi-use offices will be available for other county or state departments. The site offers easier parking compared to its predecessor at the mall.
Starting February 3, staff from the Burlington County Office on Aging will be present monthly to assist seniors with inquiries about services and benefits. Other departments have shown interest in participating as well.
Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson stated: “Burlington County strives to make a difference for every resident, and the new County Corner is a great tool for accomplishing that mission.”
