Burlington County seniors now have an additional venue to obtain information on county programs and services. Starting October 7, staff from the Burlington County Office on Aging will be available at the County Corner Store in Moorestown Mall on the first Monday of each month from 11 AM to 1 PM. They will provide details about senior programs, services, and benefits.

Last year, over 2,000 Burlington County seniors benefited from Office on Aging programs. This included 1,335 who received meals through the Meals on Wheels program and more than 570 who attended congregate nutrition sites.

“Burlington County strives to make a difference for every resident, including our seniors,” said Burlington County Commissioner Director Felicia Hopson. “Bringing Office on Aging staff to the County Corner Store at the mall is another way for seniors to learn about the many programs and services available to assist them, including meals on wheels, fitness classes and caregiver support. It’s a great opportunity for seniors to access information in a convenient location that’s very familiar to them.”

The Office on Aging can provide information about various services and programs such as light housekeeping services, caregiver respite for qualifying families, in-home health aide services, physical fitness programs for seniors, Meals on Wheels, congregate nutrition sites for seniors, home security inspections, and assistance from the Burlington County Sheriff’s Office.

Residents can also access more information through the Burlington County Office on Aging’s Directory of Services. The directory offers a comprehensive list of services and programs available to Burlington County’s seniors, disabled residents, and their caregivers. It is accessible online or by contacting the office directly.

“Burlington County is a premier destination for residents of all ages and the services we provide seniors help them live active and healthy lives here,” said Hopson. “The Office on Aging is a fantastic resource and we encourage local residents and their caregivers to reach out to them to learn more about these programs.”

The County Corner Store is located within Moorestown Mall on Route 38. It serves as a satellite office for the Burlington County Clerk’s Office offering U.S. Passport applications and photographs, notary applications, vote-by-mail applications, and new business filings.

On Saturdays, Superintendent of Elections staff are present at this location to answer questions about election procedures, register voters, and provide tutorials on using new voting machines.
