Burlington County residents gathered at Christ Church in City of Bordentown Saturday to honor the men and women of our fire and emergency services during the annual Blessing of the Firetrucks.
The event was started 14 years ago to help honor fire and EMS personnel’s courage and service to their communities and neighbors. It also helps mark the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks and the bravery demonstrated by the hundreds of first responders who sacrificed their lives trying to save others.
Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel was honored to attend the event with Congressman Andy Kim, Senator Troy Singleton, Assemblywoman Carol Murphy, Majority Whip and Burlington County Sheriff's Department Undersheriff Jim Kostoplis.
