Burlington County issued the following announcement.
There’s still time to experience the beauty, history and fun at Burlington County’s first May Faire celebration at Smithville Park.
Burlington County Commissioner Allison Eckel and Undersheriff Jim Kostoplis were among the crowd who toured the park, met H.B. Smith and his wife Agnes Gilkerson Smith, and heard tales of Smithville’s heyday during the 1800s.
They also watched an old-time baseball game between the Smithville Industrial Village Base Team and the Athletic Base Ball Club of Philadelphia. Old-fashioned rules and no gloves.
There’s plenty of music, food, carnival games, historic craft demonstrations and exhibits.
