On Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m., former Seneca High School standout Josh Willitts took the field for the NJIT Highlanders, who dropped a 4-2 NCAA Division I contest to the Saint Peter’s Peacocks.
The matchup was held at Yogi Berra Stadium and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. The Highlanders had previously beaten the Peacocks 13-3 on Friday, March 6.
Willitts gave up two earned runs over 7.1 innings, issuing one walk and striking out six.
The Highlanders are set to play their next game at 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, again taking on Saint Peter’s Peacocks at Yogi Berra Stadium.
