On Wednesday, March 18, at 3 p.m., the Washington Shoremen, featuring former Lenape High School standout Derek Friedman, were defeated 15-1 by the Salisbury Sea Gulls in an NCAA Division III baseball contest.
The contest was held at Athey Park and marked the Shoremen’s first meeting with the Sea Gulls this season.
Friedman pitched 3.1 innings, posting one walk with three strikeouts.
The Shoremen are scheduled to play next on Saturday, March 21, at 12 p.m. at Athey Park against the Lancaster Bible Chargers.
