Forbes magazine has recognized Virtua Health as one of America’s Best Employers in New Jersey for the seventh year in a row. The recognition, presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., highlights organizations that are rated highly by employees across various sectors.
Virtua Health attributes this achievement to its “Culture of WE,” a framework introduced by President and CEO Dennis W. Pullin, FACHE. The culture focuses on understanding, respect, and empowerment within the organization. According to Virtua Health, these values help attract and retain professionals dedicated to serving the South Jersey community.
Rhonda Jordan, SHRM-SCP, executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Virtua Health, said: “Our colleagues are the heart of Virtua Health, and this consistent recognition from Forbes is a powerful validation of their passion and our shared commitment to creating an exceptional workplace. We are immensely proud of our colleagues and will continue to invest in their growth and well-being, ensuring Virtua remains an employer of choice for years to come.”
In addition to the Forbes recognition, Virtua Health appears on Newsweek’s 2025 list of America’s Greatest Workplaces as well as Newsweek’s first list focused on America’s Greatest Workplaces in Health Care. Modern Healthcare also named Virtua a Best Place to Work in Healthcare; this honor was based primarily on feedback from employee surveys.
The selection process for the Forbes and Statista award involved an independent survey conducted among U.S. employees working at companies with more than 500 staff members. Employees were asked about work conditions, diversity, salary levels, development opportunities, and were encouraged to provide both direct ratings for their own employers and indirect recommendations regarding other employers.
