U.S. News & World Report has named three Virtua Health hospitals—Virtua Voorhees, Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes, and Virtua Mount Holly—as High-Performing in its 2026 Best Hospitals for Maternity Care report. This recognition is the highest distinction available in this category and marks the fifth year of the annual study.

The rankings are based on detailed data from nearly 900 hospitals nationwide that offer labor and delivery services. The evaluation aims to assist expectant parents and their healthcare providers in choosing maternity care facilities that align with their needs.

Nicole Lamborne, MD, Vice President of Clinical Operations for Virtua Women’s & Children’s Services, stated: “Being named a High Performing hospital for Maternity Care by U.S. News & World Report affirms Virtua Health’s unwavering commitment to mothers, babies, and families across South Jersey. This recognition reflects the dedication of our physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and care teams who provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care every day. We are honored to be trusted by expectant parents during one of life’s most meaningful moments, and we remain focused on advancing maternity services that support healthy beginnings and lasting wellness.”

All three Virtua hospitals providing maternity services achieved the High Performing designation based on key measures related to quality of maternity care.
