Virtua Willingboro Hospital has been recognized with the highest reputation score among U.S. acute care hospitals for 2024, according to Reputation, a firm based in California. The hospital achieved a score of 881 out of 1,000, reflecting its strong digital presence.
John Kirby, president of Virtua Willingboro Hospital and senior vice president for Virtua Health, commented on the achievement: “We seek out and welcome patient feedback in all forms. It’s the age of the empowered consumer, and online listings help people make informed decisions about where to seek care. We consider it an honor to care for the residents of Burlington County, and they have honored us by engaging with us in person and online.”
Liz Carter, chief marketing officer for Reputation, praised the hospital's accomplishment: “It’s remarkable for a suburban community hospital to earn such an impressive reputation score. It demonstrates that the employees take pride in delivering quality care and that patients are eager to help spread the word.”
The hospital garnered 685 online reviews in 2024 with an average rating of 4.82 stars out of 5. Factors influencing the reputation score include review volume and sentiment as well as responses to reviews and listing accuracy.
Reputation issues its annual 800 Awards each February to recognize listings that achieve scores of at least 800 from the previous year. A score above 700 is deemed high-performing; thus, achieving or exceeding a score of 800 sets a gold standard.
In addition to Virtua Willingboro Hospital's success, Virtua Marlton Hospital also surpassed the benchmark with over a 4.5-star average from more than 150 reviews. Overall, Virtua Health saw an increase in its award-winning listings from 73 in 2023 to 86 in 2024.
Among outpatient awardees were locations specializing in rehab services like PT & rehab, cardiopulmonary care, labs, joint-venture ambulatory surgery centers, and several providers who reached scores of at least 800.
Chrisie Scott, chief marketing officer and senior vice president for Virtua Health said: “Patient feedback is our compass. It guides us in supporting those we serve on their unique healthcare journeys.”
