Reminder: The deadline for New Jersey homeowners and renters to apply for up to $1,500 in property tax relief from the New Jersey ANCHOR program is February 28. Any households who haven’t submitted their application yet are encouraged to do so soon.

Under the program, homeowners with a household income of up to $250,000 are eligible to receive up to $1,500 in property tax credit annually and renters making up to $150,000 are eligible to receive $450 annually to offset potential rent increases. To be eligible for this year’s benefit, New Jersey residents must have rented or owned their primary residence on October 1, 2019, and also filed or been exempt from New Jersey incomes taxes.
