Senator Andy Kim, representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, has recently shared several updates via social media regarding his engagements and commitments. Born in Boston in 1982 and a graduate of the University of Chicago, Kim resides in Moorestown.
On May 17, Senator Kim expressed gratitude to New Jersey residents for attending another session of “Capitol Coffee,” a recurring event designed to foster communication between constituents and their representative. He stated, “Thank you NJ for stopping in for another Capitol Coffee this week!”.
The following day, on May 18, Senator Kim highlighted his role as the top Democrat on a subcommittee overseeing FEMA. Emphasizing the importance of FEMA during disasters, he remarked, “When disaster strikes, FEMA is a critical tool for resiliency and recovery. I’m committed to making sure this subcommittee is engaged to make sure people have a place to turn for help.”
On May 19, Senator Kim praised New Jersey Transit and BLET for reaching an agreement that he views as beneficial for both parties involved. He noted that “New Jerseyans deserve a first-class public transit system operated by professionals treated with respect and dignity; this deal is a step in that direction.”
Andy Kim has been actively serving his community since replacing Tom MacArthur in Congress six years ago.
