Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, shared personal reflections and political commentary in a series of posts on April 18 and 19, 2026.
On April 18, Kim discussed his experience as a caregiver following his father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. He wrote, “My life instantly changed with my father’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis. Millions of Americans become caregivers in the same way. It’s a difficult battle we face – but we are not alone in it.”
The next day, Kim addressed public sentiment regarding ongoing military actions and their economic impact. In one post dated April 19, he stated, “Not a surprise if you’ve been listening. People are livid. They’ve seen a war in their name and at their expense, but without their approval. It’s time to end it.” Later that day, he criticized former President Trump over economic policies affecting gas prices: “They don’t have a plan to lower gas prices or get us out of this mess — and they never have. I’ve had enough of Trump’s war tax on us.”
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (BA, 2004).
