Senator Andy Kim, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for New Jersey’s 3rd district, has recently shared a series of posts on social media reflecting on state pride, federal oversight, and caregiving experiences.
On December 18, 2025, Senator Kim celebrated his home state’s anniversary by stating: “The beaches, the bagels, and The Boss – New Jersey is simply the best. Please join me in wishing my state, a place that’s brought so much meaning to my life, a happy 238th birthday!”
Later that day, he questioned the priorities of a federal official with another post: “Who does the FCC Chairman think is his boss, Donald Trump or the American people? It’s not a hypothetical question.” This statement came amid ongoing national discussions about regulatory independence and public accountability.
On December 19, 2025, Senator Kim addressed personal challenges faced by many Americans: “It’s the things we don’t like to talk about that unite us the most. Thank you everyone who has reached out in the past week with your own caregiving stories. We will get through this together. More with @JoJoFromJerz here: https://t.co/GcXqwZX5qo.”
Senator Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and now residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (BA, 2004).
