Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in the U.S. Congress since 2019, recently used his social media platform to reflect on Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy, evaluate former President Donald Trump’s economic promises, and congratulate the state’s new governor.
On January 19, 2026, Senator Kim posted a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., quoting the civil rights leader: “All we say to America is, ‘Be true to what you said on paper.'” –Dr. MLK, Jr. He added, “Reflecting on this quote from Dr. King as we honor his memory and continue to fight for a future my kids can be proud of.”
The following day, January 20, Kim turned his attention to former President Trump’s economic record with a critical assessment: “Trump promised to lower costs on Day 1. One year later, let’s grade his results.”
Later that same day, Kim congratulated Governor Sherrill on her inauguration: “Congratulations to the newly sworn-in Governor Sherrill! This is an exciting moment for our state.
Together, we can work to restore trust and transparency at all levels of government, supercharge investment and innovation by building an Einstein Corridor, and make the Garden”
Senator Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and the University of Chicago in 2004. Since succeeding Tom MacArthur in Congress seven years ago, Kim has remained active on issues ranging from government transparency to economic policy.
