Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, reflected on the anniversary of January 6th and looked ahead to future plans in a series of posts on his social media account.
On January 6, 2026, Kim posted, “January 6th reminds us that we are all temporary stewards of this country. It’s up to us to ensure it flourishes long after we’re gone.” He followed up later that evening with another message: “What will we tell future generations about January 6th? I hope to be able to tell my boys that we can heal this country.” On January 7, Kim hinted at upcoming developments, writing, “New year, new things on the way. Coming to you in 7 days.”
Andy Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in Congress since defeating Tom MacArthur in the 2018 election and taking office in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim is a graduate of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
