Senator Andy Kim, who represents New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed recent developments in oil prices and local sports achievements through a series of posts on March 16, 2026.
In one post, Kim criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to the ongoing conflict in Iran, stating on March 16: “Trump doesn’t care what this war costs you at the pump or otherwise. He has no plan to end it.”
He followed up by connecting rising oil prices to the conflict, writing: “Over the weekend, oil surged over $100 a barrel. Let me tell you what this means for your wallet and how it’s directly connected to Trump’s war in Iran.” This statement came as global oil markets reacted to escalating tensions in the Middle East.
Later that day, Kim highlighted a local accomplishment from his hometown with another post: “Love to see my hometown making history and making the community proud. Congrats to Moorestown girls basketball for their championship win!”
Andy Kim has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after defeating Tom MacArthur. Born in Boston in 1982, he is currently 40 years old and resides in Moorestown. Kim graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
