Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, used his Twitter account on May 5, 2026, to address a range of topics including mental health awareness, the importance of the rule of law, and concerns about government transparency.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Kim posted: “May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Mental health is essential to our well-being and the care of our communities. In Congress, I’m committed to supporting mental health initiatives. Taking care of yourself is paramount to taking care of others. We’re here for you, NJ.” (May 5, 2026).
Later that day, he commented on his participation at a local legal event: “It was great to attend and speak at the Cumberland County Bar Association’s Law Day breakfast. I shared what the American Dream has meant to me and my family, and the importance of upholding the rule of law to preserve the American Dream for generations to come.” (May 5, 2026).
Kim also addressed concerns regarding government integrity with a separate post: “This is exactly the type of shadiness I can’t stand. We must have reasonable rules in place to prevent corruption and encourage transparency.” (May 5, 2026).
Andy Kim began serving in Congress after replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). His recent statements continue his ongoing focus on community well-being and ethical governance.
