Senator Andy Kim, currently serving as a U.S. Senator and the first from South Jersey in seven decades, addressed several issues on his Twitter account in early May 2026, ranging from energy spending to community outreach and healthcare appreciation.

On May 5, Kim posted about recent fuel expenditures, stating: “66 days in and $32 billion more spent on gas and diesel – money out of OUR wallets.”

The following day, Kim reflected on his role representing South Jerseyans: “I’m proud to be the first U.S. Senator from South Jersey in seven decades, and it’s my honor to ask South Jerseyans, ‘what do you need?’

Thanks to @aliyareports for joining me in Cumberland County and shining a light on the issues South Jersey is facing.” This tweet was published on May 6.

Later that morning, he marked National Nurses Day by expressing gratitude toward nurses: “Happy National Nurses Day! Today and every day, I’m grateful to the nurses who work tirelessly to care for our loved ones.

We must continue to support our nurses who deserve to be treated with the same dignity and decency that they bring to their patients every day.”

Andy Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
