Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Senator and former representative of New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted several updates on his Twitter account in early May 2026 highlighting community events, legislative efforts for worker safety, and local engagement with municipal leaders.
On May 6, Kim shared his experience at a statewide event supporting people with disabilities: “The Abilities Expo was inspiring. I’m glad that people with disabilities and their families, caregivers, and advocates are able to come together in this way, get the resources they need, see the latest innovations and technologies, and connect with communities across the state.”
Later that day, Kim addressed workplace safety legislation: “No worker should be left fighting for the basic right to a safe job. That’s why I co-sponsored @SenSanders’ and @SenatorBaldwin’s Protecting America’s Workers Act. We need to have the backs of all workers, in every corner of our country and across every industry.”
On May 7, Kim described a meeting with local officials focused on economic issues: “Last weekend, I met with Bridgeton Mayor Albert Kelly and other town officials to learn about the issues facing their community. We discussed the need to invest in affordable housing and transportation; lower high costs, including gas prices; and invest in workforce training…”
Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since succeeding Tom MacArthur in 2019. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
