Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Senator who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in Congress since 2019, addressed healthcare and foreign policy issues in a series of posts on January 17 and 18, 2026.
On January 17, Kim stated his stance on healthcare: “Healthcare and caregiving shouldn’t be about politics. I will use my position in the US Senate to fight for all families struggling through our broken system. We all need support.” Later that day, he criticized former President Trump’s approach to foreign policy by posting: “This is just bullying. As usual, it is Americans who will pay the price for Trump’s extortion foreign policy.”
The following day, Kim reiterated his commitment to caregiving responsibilities among lawmakers: “As Senators, we must pledge to be caregivers. It is our responsibility to make it easier for Americans to look after each other. It will be difficult, but there is no greater cause than care.”
Andy Kim began serving in Congress after replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019 and continues to serve constituents from New Jersey’s 3rd District. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
