Senator Andy Kim, currently representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to share updates on international relations, disaster preparedness, and cultural milestones.

On August 24, 2025, Kim posted about a diplomatic trip to Asia: “. @SenDuckworth and I traveled to South Korea and Japan to learn about how we can strengthen our economic, security, and strategic partnerships with some of our closest friends and allies. Here are just 3 reasons why this trip is so important to us, our states, and our country.”

A day later, on August 25, he addressed concerns over national disaster response: “In the middle of hurricane season, we’ve seen Sec. Noem and the Trump Administration gut our ability to respond to disasters like hurricanes. Now, we’re hearing directly from FEMA employees about the dangers and consequences our communities will face as a result. Lives are at”

Later that same day, Kim marked a musical anniversary with a nod to a fellow New Jersey native: “Happy 50 years of ‘Born to Run’ from one of Jersey’s greatest, @springsteen!”

Kim has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Tom MacArthur. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. His academic background includes degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
