Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district, shared updates on his recent activities via social media. The posts highlighted his engagements with youth leadership, participation in a leadership summit, and an honorary degree recognition.
On May 23, 2025, Senator Kim expressed his appreciation for meeting with students from the Jewish Federation of the Greater MetroWest’s Teen Israel Leadership Council. He stated, “Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with students from the Jewish Federation of the Greater MetroWest’s Teen Israel Leadership Council. I am grateful for the productive and nuanced conversation we were able to have together.”
Later that day, Kim emphasized the importance of local efforts in shaping future generations. Reflecting on his attendance at a Leadership Summit hosted by FP4America earlier that week, he tweeted: “Shaping our world for the next generation starts right here at home. Earlier this week, I joined @FP4America for their Leadership Summit to discuss why a renewed sense of patriotism and dedication to service can build a new generation of American leadership and bring the change.”
Additionally, Senator Kim was honored with an honorary degree from Rider University over the weekend prior to May 23rd. In addressing graduates during their commencement ceremony, he remarked on values beyond personal achievements: “I’m humbled to have received an Honorary Degree from @RiderUniversity last weekend. In my remarks to the Class of 2025, I expressed that it’s not just about what you accomplish, but how you treat others along the way.”
Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Andy Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since succeeding Tom MacArthur in 2019. His academic background includes graduating from Deep Springs College and earning a BA from the University of Chicago.
