Senator Andy Kim, representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently shared his thoughts on several pressing issues through a series of tweets. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim has been an active voice in Congress after replacing Tom MacArthur. He is a graduate of the University of Chicago and Deep Springs College.
On June 20, 2025, Senator Kim expressed the significance of international alliances during his speech at the Center for Strategic & International Studies Conference. “It was an honor to speak about the importance of the U.S.-South Korea-Japan trilateral relationship at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) Conference this week.” He emphasized that America’s allies act as force multipliers.
Later that day, he addressed concerns regarding proposed healthcare cuts. In his tweet from June 20, 2025, he urged citizens to engage with their congressional representatives concerning Republican efforts to reduce healthcare access for millions. “I urge people from New Jersey, and around the country, to let your members of Congress know how you feel about the Republicans’ effort to cut health care for 16 million Americans…”
Finally, on World Refugee Day observed on June 20, Senator Kim conveyed support for refugees worldwide. He underscored the need for safe havens and encouraged ongoing support within the United States. “On #WorldRefugeeDay, we stand in solidarity with refugees around the world and recognize that every person deserves a safe and secure place to call home.”
