Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, addressed a range of political and social issues in a series of posts on his Twitter account this week.
On April 16, Kim described his recent engagement with students from Red Bank High School. He wrote, “This week, I spoke to students from Red Bank High School. They told me the concerns they have about the war in Iran and the impact it’s having on their families. The next generation is feeling the same anxieties we all face, including the higher cost of groceries, gas,” (April 16, 2026).
Later that day, Kim called for political reform by sharing his approach to addressing systemic issues. He stated, “We must fix our broken politics. Here are my 7 guiding principles for how we can do this.” (April 16, 2026).
The following morning, Kim addressed concerns about government integrity. He posted, “Corruption at the highest levels of government is destabilizing. We must make major reforms to address corruption at all levels of government. It won’t be easy but it is necessary.” (April 17, 2026).
Kim has served as a member of Congress since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019 and resides in Moorestown. Born in Boston in 1982 and now aged 40, he holds degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
