Senator Andy Kim, currently representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on social media addressing U.S. foreign policy and economic security between August 25 and August 26, 2025.

In a post dated August 25, Kim discussed his recent visits to South Korea and Japan, emphasizing the importance of international partnerships for domestic job creation. He wrote, “Last week I was in South Korea and Japan, and one big takeaway from my visits: investing in economic partnerships with our strategic allies will create jobs in the U.S. and make us stronger as a nation. It’s a win-win.”

Continuing his focus on alliances, Kim posted on August 26: “America is stronger when our allies and partners know they can rely on us.

When we invest in their security, we’re making America more secure.

When we invest in their economies, we’re building jobs and opportunities in America.

We need to do all of these things to help”

Later that day, Kim addressed concerns about former President Trump’s reported actions regarding the Federal Reserve Board. In his words: “President Trump’s attempt to fire a sitting member of our Federal Reserve Board is not just against the law, it shakes the confidence in our economy. These reckless actions risk the financial security of our families and American businesses. Our courts must immediately review”

Kim has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after succeeding Tom MacArthur. Born in Boston in 1982, he resides in Moorestown and holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
