Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, addressed concerns about the Justice Department and highlighted local innovation in a series of posts on April 2, 2026.
In his first post, Kim criticized the actions of the Attorney General, stating, “The Attorney General needs to be on the side of the law, not abusing their position to protect and serve Donald Trump. This was a needed change but the damage done cannot be overstated – we must have a Justice Department that shows independence, not blind loyalty.” (April 2, 2026).
Later that day, Kim questioned affordability issues with a brief statement: “Who can afford this?” (April 2, 2026).
He also shared insights from his recent travels around New Jersey: “This week, I got to travel around my home state and meet with bright young minds, as well as see how NJ companies like Thorlabs are pioneers in their field. It was an honor to speak about this talent and innovation at the NJ Chamber of Commerce’s ReNew Business Summit and” (April 2, 2026).
Kim has served in Congress since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim is an alumnus of Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
