Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently shared updates on his community engagement and policy positions through a series of posts on social media.
On February 19, 2026, Kim highlighted his visit with a local nonprofit: “It was great to visit with the Interfaith Caregivers of Greater Mercer County (ICGMC) and see first-hand the amazing work they do to support homebound seniors and adults with disabilities. As I’ve become a caregiver for my own father who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last”.
The following evening, Kim expressed gratitude for civic participation at a public event: “Thanks to all who came out to our town hall in Asbury Park tonight! I appreciated getting to hear about what’s on your mind. It’s moments like these that illustrate the power of our democracy.” This post was made on February 20, 2026.
Later that day, Kim addressed national economic issues and criticized former President Donald Trump’s trade policies: “Trump just cost you a lot of money on unpopular and illegal tariffs. Trump 2.0: You pay for his tariffs, tax breaks for his billionaire donors, & insane corruption for his friends and family. Today’s decision is a step in righting these wrongs, but we have so much more to go.”
Kim has served in Congress since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. His educational background includes degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
