Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Senator representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on May 19, 2026, addressing issues related to healthcare costs and immigration enforcement.
In his first tweet at 11:17 a.m., Kim wrote, “Trump knows he’s costing you. He doesn’t care.”
Later that day at 1:43 p.m., he commented on the state of healthcare coverage in the United States, stating, “It is devastating to think what a loss of healthcare coverage will look like for too many families. Everyone needs healthcare. It shouldn’t be this hard — or this expensive — to get.”
At 4:46 p.m., Kim turned his attention to Department of Homeland Security policies and immigration enforcement actions by ICE. He said, “I spent this morning fighting for you and against dangerous DHS policies. ICE shouldn’t be allowed to invade our communities like this.”
Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
