Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, used his Twitter account on May 12, 2026, to comment on national political issues and share a personal moment with the Artemis II crew.

In a post made at 14:11 UTC, Kim criticized former President Donald Trump’s economic policies by stating: “This is Trump’s war tax on you: Higher gas prices. Higher grocery prices. Higher inflation. You’re paying for it – all because he started an illegal, costly war with no plan.”

Later that day at 18:33 UTC, Kim shared a positive experience meeting astronauts from NASA’s Artemis II mission, writing: “It was an honor to meet with the Artemis II crew! Thank you for signing a NASA patch for my boys. You show us what is possible and teach them to dream big.”

At 20:39 UTC on the same day, Kim continued his criticism of Trump with another statement: “Trump doesn’t give a damn about you. He just told you so.”

Andy Kim was born in Boston, Massachusetts in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). He succeeded Tom MacArthur as representative of New Jersey’s 3rd district in 2019.
