Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, used his social media platform to criticize former President Donald Trump’s approach to the ongoing conflict in Iran and its impact on domestic fuel prices.
On March 9, 2026, Kim posted: “It’s clear Trump doesn’t—and never has—had a plan when he decided to launch us into this war. This chaos is costing you every single day at the pump, not to mention the taxpayer dollars going to fund this mess.”
The following day, he continued addressing economic concerns related to the conflict: “Let me tell you how Trump’s war in Iran is surging gas prices here at home.” In another post that same evening, Kim wrote: “No justification for any violence, period.”
Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He earned degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago before beginning his congressional service after defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019.
Since entering Congress, Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District and continues to be active on national security and economic issues.
