Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of statements on April 15, 2026, addressing recent developments in U.S. foreign and domestic policy.
On April 15, Kim wrote, “About a month ago, I explained how Trump’s Iran War would drive up gas prices here at home. Now, you’re feeling the pain at the pump over something you’ve had no say in. Here’s a reminder of why Trump’s war is to blame.” He linked rising fuel costs to former President Donald Trump’s actions regarding Iran.
Later that day, Kim added his concerns about the conflict and its economic impact on Americans. In another post dated April 15, he stated: “Like many Americans, I am livid about Trump’s illegal war in Iran that’s costing you a fortune. I’ve filed a War Powers Resolution to get you the answers you deserve and bring this war to an end. We won’t stop fighting.”
Addressing tax policy on Tax Day, Kim criticized Republican lawmakers and former President Trump for their approach to taxation: “Today is Tax Day – a quick reminder that while Congressional Republicans and Donald Trump have cut taxes for their billionaire donors and friends, they’ve made it more expensive and complicated for you to file yours.”
Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned his BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
