Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of tweets on May 15 and 16, 2026, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s foreign policy and addressing U.S. commitments to Taiwan.
On May 15, Kim wrote: “Trump’s war is making life harder for you. He doesn’t care.” Later that day, he continued his criticism with another post: “When Trump pushes our allies and partners away, he’s not only making us weaker, he’s giving a gift to President Xi. I’m working with colleagues from both sides to hold this President accountable to our commitments and to our national security.”
The following day, Kim addressed arms sales to Taiwan in a tweet stating: “Our arms sales to Taiwan aren’t negotiating chips. They are required by the law.”
Andy Kim has served in Congress since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982, Kim is now 40 years old and resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and the University of Chicago with a BA in 2004.
