Senator Andy Kim, who represents New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages on November 6, 2025, criticizing former President Donald Trump’s economic policies and highlighting local community efforts in response to recent hardships.
In a post published at 15:39 UTC, Kim stated: “1.1 million jobs cut, skyrocketing costs, and unprecedented tariffs. This is Trump’s economy. We deserve better than this chaos and uncertainty.”
Later that day at 17:55 UTC, Kim addressed concerns about rising healthcare expenses and delays in SNAP benefits delivery. He wrote: “People are in trouble. Healthcare costs are rising + SNAP wasn’t delivered last weekend. While Trump partied and Speaker Johnson continued to take a paid vacation, NJ stepped up. I asked how you’re giving back to people in need. The answers I got were truly inspirational. 1/6”
Continuing his thread at the same time, Kim highlighted local initiatives such as Angela’s food drive for her senior community: “Angela from Monmouth Junction, NJ is organizing a food drive for people in her 55+ community. 2/6”
Andy Kim has served as the representative for New Jersey’s 3rd District since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
