Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, used his social media account on January 27 and 28, 2026, to voice criticism of former President Donald Trump and highlight concerns over infrastructure funding.

On January 27, Kim posted, “It’s always about ego, not empathy, from this president.” He followed this with another message the same day: “Easy for a billionaire to say. Trump only cares about enriching himself and other billionaires. He wouldn’t know ‘affordable’ if it hit him in the face.”

Addressing local infrastructure on January 28, Kim wrote: “We can’t afford to let funding for the Gateway Tunnel Project lapse. Our jobs, communities, and economy – not just in NJ, but around the country – depend on it.”

Andy Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District in Congress since replacing Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
