Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of statements on April 9, 2026, criticizing former President Donald Trump and Republican leadership over their handling of an ongoing conflict.

In a post made at 11:37 a.m. UTC, Kim stated, “Trump is NOT fit to be Commander-in-Chief and everybody knows it. He must be removed. Whether it’s the 25th Amendment or Republicans in Congress standing up, now is the time.”

Later that day at 9:03 p.m. UTC, Kim wrote, “Republican leadership is enabling this reckless and costly war. I’m back at the Capitol, ready, to hold this administration accountable.”

At 11:43 p.m. UTC on the same day, Kim added, “Trump’s illegal war of choice is making your life more expensive. Republicans in Congress must join us in voting to end it.”

Kim has served as a representative for New Jersey’s 3rd District since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
