Senator Andy Kim, currently representing New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media account on August 27 and 28, 2025, to address concerns over health care costs, air travel innovation, and recent actions affecting public health leadership.

On August 27, Senator Kim criticized Republican policies regarding health care costs in New Jersey. He stated: “Over 400,000 New Jerseyans will pay more for their health care next year because Republicans chose to sacrifice your care in order to give tax breaks to their billionaire friends. It’s unacceptable.”

Later that day, Kim highlighted a visit to a major aviation facility in the state. He wrote: “Yesterday, I toured the William J Hughes Technical Center outside of the Atlantic City airport in New Jersey. When it comes to air travel, modern technology and bold innovation are critical to addressing the problems we face. I’m dedicated to working with the FAA and our tech” (August 27).

On August 28, Kim commented on developments at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), referencing former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr.: “We are talking about Americans’ health and safety. Nothing is more important. And yet, Trump and RFK Jr. appeared to have fired the CDC Director just weeks after she was sworn in, and continue to gut a workforce of public servants trying to look out for their fellow”.

Senator Andy Kim has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Tom MacArthur as representative of New Jersey’s 3rd district. Born in Boston in 1982 and currently residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
