Senator Andy Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, posted a series of statements on March 23, 2026, criticizing Senate Republicans and former President Donald Trump over issues related to TSA worker pay and airport security.
In his first post on March 23, Kim stated: “Long lines. TSA workers without pay. ICE agents in our airports. Trump is holding our country hostage. It’s time Senate Republicans agree to fund TSA”.
Later that day, Kim continued his criticism with another message: “Trump is a bully. We all know it and we’re all paying for it. Let’s pass what we can agree on before this continues to spiral out of control.”
In a third post on the same date, Kim wrote: “We tried to get funding to TSA workers SEVEN times. Republicans blocked them all. Don’t let them tell you this isn’t their fault.”
Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019 and resides in Moorestown after being born in Boston in 1982. He holds degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
These posts reflect ongoing tensions in Congress over government funding issues affecting federal employees such as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers.
