Senator Andy Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 3rd district, shared a series of posts on social media addressing economic concerns, community outreach, and conditions for detainees in New Jersey.
On May 31, 2026, Kim criticized the current administration’s policies, stating, “I don’t know what’s optimistic about this. People can’t afford the actions of this administration.”
Later that day, he highlighted his visit to Lunch Break in Red Bank, NJ. He wrote, “Lunch Break in Red Bank, NJ offers food, housing, and other resources to people in Monmouth and Ocean counties. It was wonderful to tour their space and get a sense of just how critical they are to the communities they serve. I’m grateful my office alongside @senbooker was” (May 31, 2026).
On June 1, 2026, Kim reported on his advocacy efforts following a visit to Delaney Hall. He posted, “I’m back at the Capitol to advocate for New Jersey because what I saw at Delaney Hall is out right disturbing. Here are three things we can do to make things better for detainees and their families.”
Andy Kim has served as a member of Congress since 2019 after replacing Tom MacArthur. Born in Boston in 1982 and now residing in Moorestown, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004). His work frequently addresses both local community needs and broader policy issues impacting New Jersey residents.
