Senator Andy Kim, a U.S. Congressman representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, published a series of posts on social media on January 21, 2026, addressing issues ranging from campaign finance to foreign policy and gun violence.
In his first post, Kim reflected on the impact of a landmark Supreme Court decision: “16 years after the Citizens United decision, we are living with its consequences: a corrupt administration beholden to America’s wealthiest donors, not its people.” (January 21, 2026)
Later that day, Kim criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to international relations and economic security: “Actions have consequences. Trump cares more about picking fights with our friends and allies than he does our own economic security. The American people want a president who cares about strengthening our economy, not throwing it into complete chaos.” (January 21, 2026)
In another post commemorating the anniversary of mass shootings in California, Kim wrote: “This week marks two years since the Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay shootings, which took the lives of 18 people—16 of whom were of Asian descent. We owe it to the victims, our communities, and ourselves to end America’s gun violence epidemic.” (January 21, 2026)
Kim has served as a representative for New Jersey’s 3rd District since defeating Tom MacArthur in the 2018 election cycle. He was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. His educational background includes degrees from Deep Springs College and the University of Chicago.
