Senator Andy Kim, who has represented New Jersey’s 3rd district in the U.S. Congress since 2019, posted a series of statements on social media addressing healthcare access and the nomination of Senator Mullin for Secretary of Homeland Security.
On March 23, 2026, Kim reflected on the anniversary of a major health care law: “16 years ago, the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, expanding access to healthcare for tens of millions of uninsured Americans. Today, families across NJ are struggling to afford the coverage they once could under the ACA because of Republican cuts. We need to reverse”.
Later that day, Kim addressed his vote against Senator Mullin’s nomination as DHS Secretary. On March 24, he wrote: “I voted NO on Senator Mullin for DHS Secretary. The failures at DHS run far deeper than who holds the title of Secretary. Trump and his cronies continue to show no intention of ending the lawlessness we’ve seen in our streets and we must demand better.”
In a subsequent post on March 24, Kim added: “I will hold Mullin to every one of his promises.”
Andy Kim was born in Boston in 1982 and currently resides in Moorestown. He graduated from Deep Springs College in 2002 and earned a BA from the University of Chicago in 2004.
