Senator Andy Kim, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, addressed constituents on April 13, 2026 through a series of posts on social media. In his messages, Kim emphasized civic engagement, governmental reform, and raised concerns about presidential ethics.
In an early post on April 13, Kim encouraged public participation and assured accessibility during challenging times. He wrote: “Get engaged. Stay engaged. This moment is demanding a lot from all of us. I promise to be accessible to you through it.”
Later that day, he commented on the future direction of national policy and government operation: “These next five years will be pivotal. We must push forward principles that allow people’s lives to be driven by opportunity, not anxiety. This requires a reset in how our government works and how we work with the world to build economic security and opportunity.”
In his final post of the day, Kim criticized former President Trump’s business dealings during his second term in office: “Trump and his family are profiting off the presidency by the billions while Americans struggle to pay the bills. In his second term, the Trump Organization has already done 8 deals in foreign countries. These are huge conflicts of interest. The corruption is clear as day.”
Kim has represented New Jersey’s 3rd District since defeating Tom MacArthur in 2019 and has lived in Moorestown since beginning his congressional service (see FACTS FOR STEP 4). Born in Boston in 1982 and now age 40, Kim holds degrees from Deep Springs College (2002) and the University of Chicago (2004).
