Senator Andy Kim, representing New Jersey’s 3rd district since 2019, recently took to social media to express his concerns and actions regarding air travel transparency and regional peace efforts. Born in Boston in 1982, Kim has been active in addressing local and international issues during his tenure.
On May 13, 2025, Senator Kim emphasized the need for transparency in air travel due to its costs and associated risks. He urged Secretary Duffy and the Trump Administration to keep the public informed about developments at Newark Airport and other airports nationwide. “Air travel is costly and can carry serious risks — people deserve transparency. Secretary Duffy and the Trump Administration must keep the public informed about what’s happening in Newark and airports nationwide.”
Later that day, Senator Kim highlighted his collaboration with Senator Booker in Congress to provide clear information regarding Newark’s situation. He stressed the necessity of immediate answers and long-term solutions for those who depend on Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). “Senator Booker and I are working in Congress to get you clear, up-to-date info on what’s happening in Newark. We need immediate answers and long-term solutions for New Jerseyans and everyone who relies on EWR.”
In a separate post, Senator Kim expressed his belief that current events should serve as a catalyst for negotiations aimed at returning hostages to their families while establishing lasting peace in affected regions. “I believe we need to use this moment as a catalyst for further negotiations to return all hostages to their families and chart out a path toward durable peace in the region.”
As a congressman with roots tracing back to Massachusetts but residing currently in Moorestown, Andy Kim continues his legislative work influenced by his academic background from Deep Springs College (2002) and University of Chicago (2004).
